The PADI Advanced OPEN Water Course

What's Involved?

The Advanced Open Water Course should be viewed as an experience programme for newly qualified or inexperienced divers; participants will have the reassurance of an instructor with them on each dive and will learn new skills and gain confidence in the water.

NickiThe course consists of five dives, two ' Core' dives (which must be done) a Deep dive and a Navigation dive plus three other dives for you to choose. There are no formal classroom sessions involved in the course. You read the relevant chapters in the manual. Each chapter relates to a different dive. Knowledge reviews are then taken to the dive site where the instructor will discuss these with you and give a pre-dive briefing to each dive.

The course will usually entail three visits to the dive site, two dives being made on the first two visits followed by a single dive on the last visit.

What Is Included?

Fees include equipment with the exception of mask, snorkel, boots and fins (it is expected that students at this level will have their own basic equipment), use of manuals, all air fills and certification.

Entry fees to dive sites are not included and should be paid to site operators.
