Rescue Diver Course - Serious Fun! The PADI Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for individuals to effectively perform diver rescue and assists, manage diving situations and render proper First Aid.
The course comprises two parts; Academic Training and Practical Rescue Training. Academic Training - consists of five separate presentations: 1) Self Rescue and Diver Distress 2) Diving First Aid (equipment and procedures) 3) Emergency Management 4) Equipment Considerations 5) Review and Final Examination
1) Tired diver 2) Panic diver 3) Response from shore/boat (conscious victim) 4) Distressed diver underwater 5) Missing diver 6) Surfacing the unconscious diver 7) Unconscious diver at the surface 8) Exits with the unconscious diver 9) First Aid for pressure related accidents 10) Response from shore (unconscious victim) 11) Diving accident Scenario One (under water search) 12) Diving accident scenario two (response, exits and management) Prerequisites for the course Divers must be a minimum age of 15 years, holding a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification or have equivalent qualifications. Note that 20 dives must have been logged by the end of this course.
The course includes the use of materials on a library basis, pool fees and on successful completion of the course, certification but not equipment hire, (it is assumed at this level of training students will have their own equipment).
